Grupo Habita the world renowned hotel designers have outdone themselves this time with their seventh hotel creation. This chic trendy hotel, Habita Monterrey, is located in the international business hub of Monterrey Mexico, undeniably a 21st-Century metropolis. How they do it; no one knows but they develop hotels in the most unthought-of milieus and transforms them into instant classics.
Habita Monterrey’s exterior is in a sixties mode so much so that you expect to see Jane Fonda, Natalie Wood, Kim Novak and Anne Bancroft all together chatting, sitting so lady like once you walk through the door with their boas thrown so eloquently around their necks. Joseph Dirand, Parisian visionary has fashioned a thespian and frenzied contemporary interior in black, white and grey. The rooms are lustrous but minimal with lots of chic essentials mushrooming throughout, like Swan Chairs by Arne Jacobsen and furniture from ultramodern designer Rick Owens. Indian mirror mosaics, large patches of raw concrete and touches of black onyx marble positioned with attitude into the overall creative style of flawless simplicity.
This piece of art, Habita Monterrey has 28 rooms, ten suites and one penthouse with private living room, gym and terrace. Every room comes outfitted with Aesop amenities, flat screen television, wireless Internet, iPod dock station, Xbox Elite and Nokia N810 Tablet. Habita Monterrey has two rooftop pools, a wellness fitness centre, steam room, sauna and business centre with a meeting room for up to 12 people. The posh concrete roof bar gives you a spectacular 360-degree view of the desert conurbation and past the Sierra Madre. The first story terrace welcomes you by being the idyllic location in which to enjoy Chef Enrique Olvera’s gastronomic works of art.
