Those who enjoy playing with light will appreciate Dupont’s recent addition to their Corian solid surface line: The Illumination Series.
Illumination surfaces have all the useful qualities of original Corian—durability, moldability, and easy cleanup—but with a twist: they’re translucent! Different types of light—daylight, tungsten, fluorescent, etc.—make each color take on different depths and hues.
Available in five colors, Illumination’s range of possible uses is huge—everything from lighting (think lamp bases lit from the inside, or using it as a lampshade) to backlit display walls to lit-from-within seating and tables.
