Wall Clocks by YTDS

A wall clock is always a good way to decorate your wall and to keep you on time. Here are three interesting designs by Taiwanese designer Yenwen Tseng.

Big Hands Clock  - This clock is intended to play with our perception of time by reversing the normal proportions and positions of the hands.  The juxtaposition might also take some getting used to, so that you indeed are on time.

h & m Clock  is constructed from one sheet of metal and the time markings have been reduced to six. This clock is three dimensional in structure with the number markings being raised, while the 12 o’clock marking also functions as a wall hanger. So design and function truly work hand in hand.  The designer also added a humorous touch by adding an abstract H to the hour and M to the minute hand.

Date & Time Clock  I am always thankful for our clock that displays the date as well as the time, but this one does it with so much more style. The clock is battery operated and for convenience the battery is contained within the small box under the hands of the clock. Thus removing the clock from the wall to replace the battery is not necessary. The date is displayed by flipping the reversible plates (white on one side and blue on the other). This is done in an analog fashion to maintain the connection with passing time. Now as long as we can remember what month it is, we are in the clear.
