A.R.T/ ModuleR is a new exciting store located in NYC which is the first retail destination devoted exclusively to modular art and design products. Everything within the store is completely modular, and consequently, completely malleable in terms of design. The store features A.R.T.’s own portfolio—a fully customizable art collection—as well as a new design extension of the brand, Module R, which will aggregate both residential and commercial modular design products for the home, office and beyond. We just had to check them out as we are big fans of modular design and we loved it!! Here are some photos from our tour last weekend.
“We liked the idea of creating a venue where people could find modular art and design all in one place,” says Donald Rattner, artist and architect behind the art portfolio and curator of the new design wing, “Module R was developed as an outgrowth of the spiked interest in mass customization. It will include home and office design furnishings, décor, housewares, jewelry, toys, you name it—anything that can be designed in a modular way for people to configure and customize themselves.”
The Pop-Up Store is located at 400 Atlantic Avenue (between Bond & Hoyt) in Brooklyn, New York. The store will run November 5th–January 9th, with hours from Wednesday – Sunday, 11am – 7pm.
