Charlotte Foust is a modern artist who graduated from University of North Carolina completing her Bachelor Degree in Art. Early in her career, she received the Emerging Artist Grant given by the Arts and Science Council. Her contemporary art work is collected all over the United States to a large extent. Her modern painting collections were included in various exhibits including the Mint Museum of Art, McColl Center for Art and Levine Museum of the New South.
As a modern artist, Charlotte Foust utilizes non-objective paintings primarily because she finds this particular process as ‘honest’ and ‘satisfying.’ The contemporary artist creates a single line or mark on a blank surface and this serves as the starting point for a visceral exploration of the visual speech found in abstract paintings.
This modern painter works on mixed media art utilizing various mediums like collage, acrylic and graphite. This allowed her to layer or rework on the textured surfaces with each contemporary art resulting in wonderful things uncovered in the process.
