Like many artists who must pay their dues, Sarah Stockstill embarked on her painting career as an artists apprentice. Born in Arizona, Stockstill found beauty in the desert and took her abstract views melding it with contemporary influences found in the landscape of Los Angeles.
Sarah’s approach to her work is inspired, emotional and thought provoking- she said once, “…I am only the vehicle trying to share these mental studies, a visual instigator. I may or may not be an artist, yet I know that I am a painter.” Indeed she is, she is a painter with roots in photography as well. Her combination of reality inspired imaged, colors and depth mixed with that of the surreal and ethereal make her abstract paintings sought after by modern art collectors all over the world. Sarah’s paintings evoke a sense of imagination, laced with depth and meaning- a clear reflection of the mind of this magnificent artist.
