Hip home furnishings brand CB2 announces their partnership with well-known husband and wife design duo, Robert and Cortney Novogratz. Stars of several popular Bravo and HGTV shows, including their namesake series, Home by Novogratz, the couple will lend their inspired approach to a variety of upcoming projects, including a line of exclusive furniture and accessories for the brand.
Dedicated to increasing the awareness and accessibility of modern design, CB2 constantly looks for fun, fresh and innovative ways for consumers to engage with design. A key part of that mission includes working with an array of established and up-and-coming designers to diversify the collections and offer customers new ways to approach home décor and have fun with—or even discover—their personal style.
With an unwavering passion for stylish living, a distinctive aesthetic and an eye for defining trends, The Novogratz’s sense of design is unparalleled. Heading into the second season of HGTV’s widely-popular show Home by Novogratz, the couple has worked with a number of marquee names, including fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, professional skateboarder Tony Hawk and Design*Sponge founder, Grace Bonney. The couple’s “Downtown Chic” aesthetic and love of experimentation echoes the CB2 attitude and will be reflected in the pieces they design for the brand.
“Robert and Cortney embody the CB2 style—their fearless use of color and thoughtful attention to detail lends true personality to each space they design,” said Marta Calle, Director of CB2. “They have a unique yet approachable design perspective that we look forward to sharing with our customers.”
“Our goal is to help bring a shot of color, style and fun into everybody’s environment and urge them to try something new in their space and enjoy the process like we do,” noted Robert Novogratz. ”We are delighted to be able to bring our design aesthetic to our many fans at an affordable price.” Cortney Novogratz continued “CB2 is the perfect partner for the collaboration, and we couldn’t be more excited to work with them, and appreciate their support in helping us to be able to “Novogratz” a wider audience.”
The Novogratz and CB2 have a shared mission to help consumers incorporate smart design into everyday life and the partnership will exemplify that. Meka, Toronto-based housing company, was created by three friends, one a designer, one an architect, and the other a developer, looking to create well designed, alternative dwellings that could be made and sold at affordable prices. Beyond aspirations for typical prefabricated reasoning, and after years of extensive online market research, they found myriad examples from which to compare and consider. Aware of the sheer volume of shipping container buildings existing around the world, and of the many individuals and companies that had built incredible varieties and styles of this particular typology, still they found no easy way to order or procure them.

Traditional meets modern, this is how I would describe these gorgeous and bold illustrated prints by Anna Engström. Inspired by Swedish peasant folk art from the 19th century called “kurbits”, Anna’s prints explode into bursts of botanical themed shapes and colors. Their lighthearted elegance makes a cheery statement in modern and more traditional homes alike. Whether hung in kitchens, hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, or playrooms, Anna’s illustrations will make every day a little bit brighter.
