The all-in-one design of design collective Un4verde’s Candelero turns a simple taper “into a decorative, singular object” in and of itself.
Candelero by Nadadora, is a candle with an integrated base. The shape of its base catches the falling wax, while the candle is burning, and turns the candle into a decorative, singular object by itself. Candelero by Pedro Ochando: practicality and aesthetics.

Project based on the relation between a bottle and its cork stopper. A connection between two materials: glass and cork by the principle of fitting into each other. A relation of opposites: glass is hard, heavy, shinny and cold while cork is soft, light, matt and smooth. PCM wants to contribute to develop projects based on the use of cork as it is a 100% natural material, reusable and recyclable. This project was designed by Tomas Kral for his master degree at Ecal.

Your home should be the safest haven where you retreat during night and go about during the day. However, with many opportunist crimes looming every day you can’t be safer and no one can guarantee your safety. This is the main reason why home security systems are created and designed so that you can get even a fraction of the peace of mind you desire.
Dream homes are dream homes not only because of their interior design but also because of the security, warmth and safety they offer. You can always get security without deviating from design.
There are modern and sophisticated alarm systems that are not only powerful by function but also on their looks. Most home security systems today have been designed with contemporary looks that can almost be mistaken as part of your interior decoration. In fact, they look sleek and elegant that they might as well have been custom-made for you.
This is just to say that even when they are meant to give you security they are also designed considering the art side of home building. These security devices can help you achieve the modern touch you wanted. They blend inconspicuously to your interiors just as if you didn’t place them there.

Lunar craters are almost two billion years old, and today, we can observe them unchanged since their formation.
These craters show the physical impact over an undisturbed terrain by revealing the presence of concave depressions,
left by the collision of an object against the silent lunar surface. London-based Shiro Studio has developed a series of marble trays.

Fireplaces have rightfully reclaimed their hot spot in the modern home. There’s something incredibly soothing and communal, primal even, about warming yourself next to merrily crackling flames. More so when the flames are contained within a fireplace as discretely unobtrusive yet structural as Domenico De Palo’s ‘Il Canto del Fuoco‘, literally song of fire. Made of stainless steel, the surfaces are either lacquered or sheathed in rust-hued Corten steel, while heat is generated by bioethanol, or traditional wood. We know where we’ll be gathering around this winter.(via)
