Finding furniture for Teens and Tweens, that is something more than they’ll reluctantly settle for, is difficult as choice can be limited, tough to find or cost-prohibitive. Too often the styles are mild adaptations of adult furniture that doesn’t suit the youth of today, with their high expectations and discerning views on design and style brought about through the influence of Apple Inc. and others.

On my recent trip to Southern Florida I uncovered several noteworthy design gems and one of those in particular I surprisingly found in the staple of Americana, the Shopping Mall – more specifically Miami International Mall, in Doral, Miami. Woodbury Young Space is a trendy, modern furniture store that uses clean lines and refreshing color schemes to bring you a range of furniture the next generation will want in their space. Through the use of great design, the vibrant use of colors and iconic graphics (on some models), Woodbury Furniture makes shopping for the kid’s rooms something that they might willingly participate in. The store assistant was extremely helpful, divulging that the furniture is manufactured in Italy.

It’s not just furniture, either. Woodbury offers lighting, rugs and bedding, ranging from traditional themes to contemporary designs, to accessorize and complete a room. Woodbury has managed to correctly capture and embrace the message that today’s youth need a multi-functional living space. The days of your offspring’s room being just a bedroom is as dated as buying your music from a store.
