Compact Vanities for Your Apartment’s Bathroom

If you live in an apartment, you know that the standard apartment bathroom is rarely large enough to properly store all of your toiletries, towels, hygienic products, and so on. The truth is that apartments simply do not allow you enough space to have a good-sized bathroom, so you are forced to store many bathroom items in your hallway closet or your pantry. Ironically, the bathroom is arguably the most important room in your apartment, despite its small stature. Installing compact bathroom  or even changing the wallpaper can make your space seem roomier.

Downsize your appliances

Substituting a small bathroom vanity for your apartment’s existing vanity is a good idea. Ideally, the new vanity would be under 24” wide, or perhaps it could be a corner vanity or pedestal sink. These small vanities allow lots of storage space, but they are also designed to optimize the space efficiency of your bathroom. Another design consideration to think about would be towel rings instead of towel rods, and perhaps a stand-up steam shower instead of a large and obtrusive bathtub. By downsizing your big bathroom appliances, you will significantly enhance the amount of space in your bathroom.

Make color and light work for you

Light colors make bathrooms look spacious, while dark colors make them seem more intimate. Play with it until you find the best color scheme for your bathroom. Bathrooms often appear larger when they are well-illuminated, too, so consider getting larger windows or a new light fixture for your small bathroom vanity. Even the patterns on your wallpaper matter; vertical stripes make a bathroom seem taller, while complex or bulky patterns make the bathroom feel more confined. With a little patience and creativity, you can make your apartment’s bathroom seem grander than ever.

  1. I love the black vanity and glass sink combo. I worked for a kitchen/bath/plumbing store a few years back and we had a few similar models. They sold ok, then there was a surge in them. Always loved them, But WORST thing you can put in a family bathroom with little kids. but for mom and dads bathroom, or when the kids are older, its ok. Hell to clean though….
