Dream Home: Amazing Apartment in Turku by Maurizio Giovannoni

I think I won’t be able to forget how this amazing Apartment in Turku looks like. It reflects a few things – fun, creative, imaginative and colorful. This dream home is designed by Maurizio Giovannoni and though I haven’t gotten over how this modern home caught my attention yet I must say that its playful aura got a groovy impression.

The modern architecture is located specifically in Turku, Southern Finland. It was a renovation project by Maurizio Giovannoni and originally it was a living space with too many walls and doors that hide the beauty of the space and the natural passage of light. Also, the expansive view of the historical sites found in Turku was found in the bedroom side.

The house floor plans were implemented in such a way that allowed natural light flow in. This way it created the relaxing, comforting and playful living room with a stunningly unique backdrop on the wall. The space was transformed into something where the owner can work out his creativity and imagination.

I love the great kitchen because of the playful combination of colors that somewhat reminds me of my childhood.

During the transformation, there was partial demolition of walls – and this was only natural to enhance the effect of space, to restore its beauty that was once blocked by walls and doors. There was also the reversal of the bedroom and living room so that the living room will have the beautiful historical views and the bedroom becomes an intimate haven where you can retire at night.

The details were organized and brought the white spaces alive. The parquet floor was in white ash and I find all other renovations extremely attractive such as the birch shelves and kitchen table though the latter is colored. Wood is the predominating material in the interiors and the interior design follows a playful theme, which I think is best to provide inspiration to the owner.

The wallpaper – the backdrop I mentioned earlier – deserves attention as it carries the colors and contrasts as well as the Mediterranean ‘courage.’ The furniture chosen for this inspirational layout is apparently a combination of two cultures namely – past and present. Overall, everything in this design is liked perfectly carved – fitting together like puzzles pieced up and creating a perfectly harmonious living space.

For smaller rooms and spaces, you can also opt for posters instead of wallpapers. They may not appear like a backdrop but they make excellent accents. All you need are a punchy design and high-quality materials to make these appear as radiant as wallpapers.  Make sure to entrust your poster printing services to the right company to ensure attention-grabbing prints.
