Dream Home: San Francisco Modern Home by J. Weiss Design

If there is one thing that I can say about this modern home, I would say that it is truly fantastic! J. Weiss Design has renovated this residence in Bay area. Originally, the dream home already has its own personality and strong character. Jennifer Weiss of J. Weiss Design just applied her cunning eye for impeccable architectural and interior design hence a stronger personality was created. Its beauty – I must say is one of a kind and the transformation brought it all up to the surface.

Looking at the neutrality of the background, I think it served its purpose well and it is to become an impeccable backdrop for the bold and strong colored accessories that filled the place making it look alive. The dream home with its modernity defies what critics would often define as cold and stoic.

J. Weiss Design has demonstrated a perfect argument by creating a modern architecture expressing the difference between modernity and sterility or frozen. The striking statement of the shapes in this architecture is enough not to need ornamentation. By using the original beauty and applying new design elements to the place, the house floor plans become as authentic as it is beautiful. Natural light is maximized in this place by using bare windows. The great kitchen exemplifies beauty and beyond – even more than just a place where you prepare food and the focal point of design where everything else revolves around is the fireplace.

The interior design is very welcoming but extremely functional in more ways than one. The hardwood floors added texture and color to the interiors hence amplifying its gorgeous appearance. J. Weiss Design made use of low key pieces and implemented a straightforward design philosophy so as to create a comfortable place of residence without the need of excessive decoration for it to be alluring.

In other words, the inspirational layout is as good as it gets – everything you see within this design is alluring in and by itself. The colorful accessories that the designers added to the place created a lasting impression and for me it’s definitely not tastelessly showy and overly demonstrative.

  1. Thank you for this lovely article about our work! It should be noted that the Interior Designer for the project was Palmer Weiss (no relation). She was the talent behind the furniture and fabrics.
