If I would like to have a dream home, the Villa UH1 is definitely the kind of cozy retreat I would like to go for. This modern home is designed and created by RB Architects based in Stockholm, Sweden. The modern architects from the firm made an effort to keep the modern architecture a natural part of its surrounding whenever possible.
The concept was to carefully design a space that would coincide with the surrounding landscape – which was achieved by the floor to ceiling glass finish. In addition, its relationship with nature was also heightened when the house transformed the refuge thus creating a modern living area covered in moss integrating nature into the design.
On the other hand, the inner yard demonstrates maximum privacy yet the glass finish maintained its connection with nature while allowing the abundant natural light to enter into the residence. If it was still in the time of World War II, I might say that it resembles the German bunker. Actually, the implemented house floor plans complement well with the minimalist interiors with modern accents. The interior design is almost self-explanatory and I could not find the right words to actively describe this gem.
One look at the great kitchen and I know that the functional level of the area is definitely excellent. I personally love the simplistic bathroom design, which is stylish yet emphasizes its function more than ever.
Overall, the layout of this cozy retreat is definitely inspirational evoking a sense of oneness with nature. As you can see, there is a green moss covering the roof and it created a “camouflaging” effect of the home to its surrounding nature. It seemed like the boundaries have been reduced to none considering the construction and design of the house that fits perfectly into the landscape.
