The Johnstone-Sani House is located in Sitges, a town approximately 40 minutes west of Barcelona.  The house is situated on the hill surrounding the town centre.  The site itself is long and narrow sloping steeply up from the road and commanding dramatic views towards the sea.

The family house provides generous five bedroom accommodation over four levels and this is set within a sequence of stepped landscape gardens, which tiers up the hillside. Each level is visually linked internally by interlocking volumes and framed views.  At each level the internal spaces open onto a sequence of landscaped external terraces, balconies, gardens and roofscapes – these provide an unexpected variety of spaces, with dramatic views of the surrounding hills and seascape.
