Nationally recognized San Franciscan firm, Feldman Architecture aims to create contextually sensitive buildings that relate to their respective sites and are tailored to their clients’ needs. The House Ocho, located in the Santa Lucia Mountains, is designed within the slopes of its landscapes while offering amazing views. The home is impeccably crafted and is a great hybrid of modern architectural design and site integration.
To reduce the physical footprint and impact of the home, the architects sunk the building into the ground and planted tall native grasses on different roof areas. There are several pavilions throughout the home to reduce the home’s overall mass. The pavilions provide great outdoor spaces to enjoy nature and scenery from the mountaintop.
A tree-lined terrace leads to the home and down terraced stairs to a large outdoor living room, complete with an outdoor fireplace.

The different building elements and corners that make up the home’s mass help frame many different views.
The contemporary interior design features natural, neutral colors, a spacious layout and large windows for natural light and maximum views.
