Imagery of a home named “Northwest Peach Farm” conjures a mental picture of more “simpler times.” When there was a porch swing, yellow curtains hanging in the window, handmade by Grandma and a rusty play set in the front yard. Well, the architects at Bates Masi Architects have taken that idea and flipped it right on it’s head- the Northwest Peach Farm home they’ve designed is a modern, contemporary designed home in the middle of East Hampton, New York.
The architects took the piece of land, that was once a peach orchard and played on the use of the stunning grounds surrounding it, with large windows looking out over the lush green landscape and abundant trees. The interior has detailed custom design and wide, open spaces perfect for entertaining when the owner’s family comes to visit. The high vaulted white ceilings add to the open atmosphere, and the white marble, stone and light woodwork in the kitchen is perfectly crisp and clean….perfect for making peach pies I would guess?
