Imagine, absolute seclusion, amongst the beauty of wide open spaces, desert and the sunshine to wake you up through your floor to ceiling windows, that’s what the new residential modern home designed by Studio KO out of France is like. The home, “Villa K” is in a remote area of Morocco, where the most modern thing you’ll see for miles are men riding their donkeys with a pair of Levi’s on. The surrounding area looks out at the horizon of rocky, brown and blue mountains- an absolutely breathtaking skyline.
From the outside of Villa K, the contemporary home looks like nothing more than stucco blocks- and then you see the inside; a minimalist, desert lovers dream. The neutral tones throughout the house play off the colors you see from your window, while the design itself is takes a more modern approach. I would imagine this home would be a sanctuary for those looking for stillness, beauty and a canvas that is empty enough to let the mind roam freely. You won’t see anything too busy, over-thought or contrived here-the open space speaks for itself, while it let’s the landscape take center stage.
