I’ve seen homes with the same kind of idea that the architects at Shun Hirayama Architecture are building and I always drive by and think to myself, what in the heck does that house look like on the inside?! I would think to myself that inside was some sort of crazy, artsy space- with slanted walls and instant vertigo and it turns out, the inside just looks like a really great contemporary home. It’s the outside of the structure that is the star here!
The Les Adventuriers residence is a piece of architectural gold- with rich, beautiful wood, interesting lines and detail- the home itself looks like a piece of public art, there for your viewing pleasure from the road. While they made sure the inside was not only congruent with the style, but also was a place that the residents could wind down in, relax and make feel like a HOME- it isn’t stuffy, or overly fussed with….in fact, it’s very warm. Looks like they know how to make both a creative piece of architecture AND a “place to call home.”
