This stunning home on the shores of Parsley Bay, in the Vaucluse area of Sydney, was designed by Aussie architects Tobias. Earth tones, natural materials and rectangular forms predominate gracefully in the design, which features lots of wide-open spaces flowing into one another. Bronze, steel, teak and thick slabs of concrete work elegantly together to make a surprisingly warm, inviting (if pointy) bayside retreat.

I would call it a classic hundred year old house. Cubist architecture started in pre-World War I Europe. There are several reasons why it did not take off.
