That was my second time at the Clerkenwell Design area, my first time was in September at the London Design Week, and I must tell you every time that I am there I enjoy it even more. Over 60 showrooms, a wealth of creative agencies and more architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, Clerkenwell is truly the UK’s most important design community.
Clerkenwell Design Week has now become one of the most important events in the design calendar. It is the third year that it’s running with exhibitions, parties and new product launches.
The venues are always part of the attraction of Clerkenwell Design Week and this year is no exception. The Farmiloe Building, a former lead and glass warehouse, and The House of Detention, an underground Victorian prison return this year – and for the first time in 2012; they are joined by The Order of St John’s Priory, featuring a garden and a 12th century crypt. Have a look at the pictures and next time plan to come.
