The Pilot Stool, designed by Patrick Rampelotto and Fritz Pernkopf for Quinze & Milan, is a delightful combination of materials and technique. The seat of the stool is formed of polypropylene foam that has been heated to 140 degrees celsius and then pressed within seconds. This process results in a product that somehow combines glossy and matte with a seemingly translucent surface. The seat is then securely fitted with threaded european oak wooden legs. The stools are available in three heights (standard, counter and bar) and two colors (black and white). They are also flat packed for easy shipping and assembly. Fabulous functional simplicity combined with new production techniques and a nod to traditional craftsmanship equal one stunning creation that will blend and enhance any living space. The stools are currently available at GSelect.
