We met talented Korean designer Sunyoung Stephanie Kim at the ICFF show this year. She presented us with her minimalist stool made out of four identical pieces.
“… When I designed this stool I was fascinated by woven patterns and fabrics. At the same time I kept thinking about how I could emphasize the best characteristics of the material : veneer. I thought that the woven pattern also can emphasize the features of veneer which is flexible and strong. One of the better part of the woven shape is also strong. This chair can be handle significant weight by distributing it to each of the pieces when sat on….”
