Modern Green House

Aleks Istanbullu Architects are taking the term “green house” to an entirely new, less botanical, less humid level. The small modern guest house tucked away in Beverly Hills is a reflection of the edgy modern elements of Los Angeles and the ethereal natural canyons surrounding it. From the exterior the house looks like a fanciful, tweaked version of a cartoon house, with shades of green colored fiber cement. Bold moss and key lime make a playful statement, while encompassing the earth tones around it. Inside guests will find sleek lines, and chocolate brown wood panels from floor to ceiling on select walls, a double-height library with 16-foot-tall bookshelves (rolling ladder and all!), a kitchen and one bedroom, one bathroom. Whimsical on the outside, warm and welcoming on the inside- sounds like home!
