Hotel Design: Hotel Americano by Enrique Norten and TEN Arquitectos

The hotel design that captures not only the eyes but the heart – Hotel Americano – which is designed and completed by the collaboration between Enrique Norten and TEN Arquitectos.

This boutique hotel is located on West 27th Street specifically between the 10th and 11th Avenues. It is actually on one of New York’s most active gallery locations during daytime and lively club scenes at night.

The hotel façade directly demonstrates the dichotomy set by the neighborhood. There are catwalks on hotel floors, which were set back from the street behind the stainless steel mesh screen. The screen provided the needed buffer or privacy for street side hotel rooms and the busy night-life in bars and clubs down below. In addition, it also adds style to the beautiful hotel creating an iconic and extremely recognizable public identity.

Overall, this hotel interior design complements the architectural layout as it houses 56 rooms, roof deck with pool, bar and garden terrace. All of these areas alleviated the environment with reflective surfaces, greenery, views of the city and water.
