The first location for the Yotel Hotel outside of Europe is on West 42nd Street and 10th Avenue in Manhattan’s vibrant theater district. The project on Yotel Hotel NYC involves the collaboration of Rockwell Group and Softroom – UK-based design firm. The collaborative efforts of these two firms allowed transfer of efficiency, flexibility and forward-thinking technology on their London and Amsterdam airport properties into the chic, innovative and affordable hotel design in urban setting.

Rockwell group created this particular hospitality design with a series of façade, public spaces and guest rooms which will capture the senses of travelers who are always on the go and tech-savvy. This boutique hotel houses the largest outdoor terrace space in Manhattan and has the first-class destination restaurant, lounges, bar and event-meeting rooms. The hotel interiors demonstrate the seamless functionality that all guests need almost at their fingertips.

The hotel interior design is the perfect marriage of space saving efficiency and a touch of the 21st Century hospitality design. The guests would experience fully automated check-in service featuring the Yobot – theatrically lit robotic baggage drop-off machine. There is nothing classic about the Yotel Hotel NYC from the robot porter to the different amenities and even on its design everything is contemporary.

This is a capsule style hotel chain with major locations in London, Amsterdam and now New York. The hotel is inspired by the luxury experience of air travel with a concept that “first class” hotels may offer affordable price. The resulting design hotel is compact and forward thinking which features the small shape-shifting cabin spaces innovated for futuristic setting.

The beautiful hotel houses top-notched amenities from private terraces to Jacuzzis and rotating beds without compromising on the wonders of Manhattan skyline. The design concept was built on a simple idea of transformative spaces which allowed more flexibility and modernity. It allows guests to experience transformation the moment one enters into space hence the concept was based on convertibility of space.

This brings dynamic experience to all guests and travelers as well as for local residents alike. All aspects of design, comfort and smart technological details have been cleared and considered which becomes fundamental and essential to the experience of all guests. The space saving efficiency is apparent in the New York Yotel especially the transformation of beds into space-saving lounging position only at the touch of a button.

Indeed, the collaboration of Rockwell Group and Softroom has demonstrated excellence in terms of efficiency in the delivery and implementation of designs.
