Life off the red carpet just got a lot plusher for those in Hollywood as W Hotels Worldwide debuts the W Hollywood, a modern contemporary hotel that is every bit as graceful and glamorous as an on-screen beauty. Boasting a red carpet from door to reception, the W Hollywood has been impeccably designed to blend its contemporary excellence with the trappings of the world capital of popular culture.
As well as its modern good-looks the W Hollywood is eco-friendly too, becoming the only Southern Californian property of this size to register for the LEED(R)-Silver certification. This is the latest opening by W Hotels, which is planning to double its portfolio of hotels by 2011 – something we contemporary designers applaud. The W is a chain we always seek out when travelling, as designers can always draw inspiration from the W’s contemporary decor, making it our equivalent of a trip to the candy store.
Tinsel town’s latest hotel gets our nomination for the best supporting role when we are next in the Los Angeles area.
