The Stupa Table + Light are made of plaster wrapped with cotton thread, an interesting method that lends itself to a beautiful product. Each piece is made from plaster that is turned on a giant lathe by hand. Cotton threads are wrapped into the groves made by the lathe and from a distance they are not clearly visible, but upon closer inspection they are delicate and brightly colored. These colors are reminiscent of Buddhist prayer flags. The lamp and table are shown together and create a beautiful glowing and reflective light.
