Etxart & Panno sells iconic Mediterranean club-wear that sparkles and the kind of dresses that leave people drooling, so it’s only natural that their store design would tout nothing short of the same grandiose style.
The purveyor of Mediterranean nightlife apparel beckons passers-by in Barcelona’s Example precinct with a striking ovate entrance surrounded by tall, Corinthian columns. The entryway leads to long wave-like modules that wrap the walls, transforming the potentially oppressive windowless space into something with flow and character.
The floors at Etxart & Panno are laid with light natural oak, leading serious shoppers to the long, narrower back of the store where most of the merchandise is displayed thoughtfully on heavy coat hangars hidden by linear metal slabs that display the brand’s logo.
Pairs of shoes, handbags, and other accessories line the walls on nearly invisible hooks, with each nook strategically color schemed to enhance the overall shopping experience. The black and white items stay in one alcove while the lighter khaki pieces are placed in another room with the occasional sparkle of a red dress or something offbeat to add to the experience an elemental burst of surprise.
Tucked away at the very back of the store are six white-curtained fitting rooms where customers can fall in love with the pieces of clothing they’ve picked out to help them remember the store for years.
