Menbur and Pilar Abril Concept Store is a store design completed by A+D Design. The Spanish company tasked the modern architects of the firm to design a store that will initiate their plans of opening a chain of stores in Eastern Europe. The products were of utmost importance in this commercial design as the store carries about 100 pairs of shoes complementing the bags. All sets of shoes and bags were given their own unique style and design which should be exposed in the architectural design hence the concept used for the store space.
The architects design a shop that allows comfortable shopping, watching, touching and trying out the shoes without creating an overloaded effect within the interiors of the shop. This is definitely a design for retail that was easy to implement in small sized stores like Menbur and Pilar Abril Concept Store.
A+D Design Studio created a concept that opens up the store windows so that consumers could easily view the products as many as they can at the same time. The shop window has been positioned 90 degrees that create an entrance bringing the street into the store space. Because of this, it created two divisions – the city-size billboard on one side and the classic exposition on the other side.
All sets of shoes and bags were exposed in their own respective boxes through smoked glasses. This allowed customers to have easy understanding of the products offered by the company. The perfect separation of interesting products from the rest gives customers an overview of what to expect inside.
Upon entering the beautiful store, you can see the white, strongly illuminated corridor that features the big black sofa. You could also notice the natural materials exposed as they give life to the technical and dull perception of the shelving system utilized in this shop design. They were also used in chandeliers and this design element has been repeated a few times. The series of shelves utilized in the design becomes the focal point of design.
The merchandise of the company is the center of attraction while allowing the design scheme float at the background giving the entire store space a lively aura. Comfort of shopping is the priority in this design hence the customers could actively view the products even when they have not yet entered the store premise.
The choice of furniture has been carefully planned in order to display its interconnection with the products and the consumers.
