One of the many pleasures of summer is the chance to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather, and this beautiful new 2012 collection of Serralunga will ensure we do that in style.
Ping Pong Pang chair by Paolo Rizzatto
This curious and delicate chair was inspired by paper clips on Rizzato’s desk, and that is easy to see when you look at its thin legs. The chair is light, proportional, and a perfect fit for an outdoor setting. We love the geometric shapes of the plastic seats, especially in their contrast to the chairs thin legs. It’s easy to move around and has such a fun design.
Charlotte Chair by Christophe Pillet
Although Charlotte takes the chairs aesthetics from a traditional domestic chair, she reinvents the materials to make it transition smoothly to the outdoors. With a plastic shell and a small polyurethane pillow, the chair is water resistant while at the same time both comfortable and functional.
The Notre Dame Table by Raffaella Mangiarotti
The trestle is made from plastic, its rotational molding coming in glossy and matte versions. It offers two different tabletops; a round one with a 70 cm diameter, or a rectangular one of 85 by 200 cm. It is simple and perfect.
Dado by Fabio Bortolani ed Ermanno Righi
Fabio Bortolani defenses the Dado as “A simplistic die that is reflected in the floor.” The Dado is versatile; dispending on the finishes, a basic natural finish or a more sophisticated lacquer, it can blend with various environments. There is a slot for books and magazines with a small outlet to allow water to drain through it- making it ideal for the outdoors!
