Yet another great find from this year’s ICFF is Alice Tacheny Design’s first collection that focuses on product furniture design.
Alice Tacheny Design creates individual constructed modern furniture. They are defined by hardwoods with oil and wax finishes and the long-lasting, authentic, and modern construction. A few small shops and individual craftspeople produce each piece, and each piece is made to order and intended to last. We love the care taken to ensure the durability and design of the furniture- and with so much care there is no other option other than creating simply remarkable pieces!

We saw Cool Kids Company, the distributer for Kast van een Huis in America this weekend at the ICFF and they showed us this adorable collection of closets for children. The Amsterdam collection is a design of storage cabinets inspired by the Amsterdam canal houses from the seventeenth century. They are available in multiple colors and three different gable types. We absolutely love these cabinets; they are original, well-crafted, and utterly charming.
It might also interest you to know that Cool Kids Company is the distributor of the Spanish Ninetonine, another modern stylish furniture brand for kids.

May marks one of New York’s most exciting annual events; The International Contemporary Furniture Fair ( ICFF ). This is our forth year reporting to you on this mega event. It was a great show this year. We met many familiar designers and furniture makers along with many new-comers. With over 500 booths it’s daunting to attempt to see everything, but we managed to see and even have a little chat with most of the exhibitors to learn of their new designs and trends. In the next couple of weeks we will present to you our favorites from our visit but for now, here is a glimps of our tour.

Fabulous, isn’t it? I’d love to see it in a powder room or walk-in closet. These gorgeous wallpaper by Kimberly Lewis debuted last week at the ICFF show.
All Kimberly Lewis Home wallpaper is designed in Brooklyn, New York and hand- printed in the United States using environmentally friendly water-based ink and clay-coated paper.
When not combing vintage stores and flea markets for inspiration, Kimberly is exploring New York City and adding more stamps to her passport. Kimberly draws inspiration from her growing collection of vintage textiles, and modern fashion. Be sure to check out the rest of her collection here.
