Self-proclaimed “ surface pattern designer” Abigail Borg is all about textile which serve multiple purposes. This Leeds College of Arts and Design graduate designs patterns with a vintage feel but a modern edge. Her patterns are colored in rich hues and seem to view the world through a microscope. Her patterns “bluey” and “tulips” being a perfect example of her unique world view. Ideal for those pesky chairs you’ve been meaning cover, or perhaps go even further and if you fall in love with what she has to offer, why not go hog wild and cover a sofa? I am a huge fan of textiles as wall art – so why not frame a square – because no matter what purpose you decide to employ Borg’s textiles for, they are all already works of art.
